If I remember well first I made a petal from the source using many times polar distortion. :)

i think this would have looked better, if the orange colors were darker :D

I think that with darker orange the impression of fire under the flower would disappeared :)

:D not quite, i tested that out and tho the way i did it ruined the rest of the fractal, it improved the orange^^;
